Alfred Lee Robinson, age 79 of Cornelia, passed away Monday, November 08, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in StephensCounty on September 17, 1931, he was the son of the late Alfred Fain and Mamie Lee Tomlin Robinson. Mr. Robinson retired from the gas and service station industry. During his 38 years of service, he was the former owner/operator of the Baldwin Amoco. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with others, playing pool and bird watching. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Harrington, Bessie Robinson and Catherine Roberts; brothers, Amos Robinson, Doffice Robinson, J. D. Robinson and Earl Robinson.
Surviving are wife, Virginia Robinson of Cornelia; son, Bobby Robinson of Cumming; step-daughter, Cathy Burrell of Cornelia; brothers, Eugene Robinson and S. C. Robinson both of Cornelia.
Funeral services are 1:00 pm Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in LevelGroveCemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Wednesday.
