Alice “Pat” Murphy Savage, age 92, of Cornelia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 02, 2023.
Born on September 04, 1931, in Cornelia, she was a daughter of the late Grover William Murphy and Susie Garrison Murphy. Mrs. Savage was a 1950 graduate of Baldwin High School, and retired as an Assistant Food Service Technician with Rainbow Elementary School in Dekalb County. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Clinton Clay Savage; brothers, Grover Garrison Murphy, Swayne Murphy, and Walter Lee Murphy.
Survivors include son, Tommy Eric Savage of Cornelia; grandchildren, Celia Alchemy Savage of Cornelia, and Ethan Clay Savage of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; brother, Vernon Murphy of Cornelia; sister, Faye Loudermilk of Mt. Airy; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 2 pm on Monday, November 06, 2023, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. David Bivins officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Monday, November 06, 2023, at the funeral home.
