Anita Craven Pitts, age 92 of Demorest, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022.
Born on February 24, 1929, in Cornelia, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Madge Terrell Craven. Mrs. Pitts was retired from AT&T, formerly Bellsouth, with many years of service. She was of the Methodist faith. She is remembered for the love she had for her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pitts was also preceded in death by a brother, Tim Craven.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Marsha Tanksley, Donna Nelms, and Sherry and Les Barnwell; former son-in-law, Ronnie Bow; grandchildren and spouses, Rebecca and MC Lowe, Natalie and Brian Parker, Jennifer Nelms, Joshua Tanksley, Tiffany and Fran Bow-Petrella, and Jason and Paula Bow; 14 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; sister, Nina Cook; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kitty Craven; several nieces and nephews.
