Annie Mae Franklin Patton, age 78, of Clarkesville, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015.
Born on February 25, 1937, in Demorest, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Morlor Lee and Mary Ollie Mae Phillips Franklin. She was retired from Habersham County School System and was a member of Independent Baptist Church in Clarkesville.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Sammy Lee Patton; brother, William Henry Franklin; sisters, Virginia Nicholson and Katheryn Franklin.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Harold Patton of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Matthew and Donna Patton of Clarkesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette Gragg and Wendell Canup of Clarkesville, Jennifer and Matthew Brock of Mt. Airy, Anita Brown of Cornelia; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 4 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Pastor Donnie Balenger officiating. Interment will follow in Demorest City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Annie Mae Patton Memorial Fund at P.O. Box 725, Cornelia, GA 30531.
