Bernice Verdell Cantrell, age 77, of Gainesville, GA, who passed away Monday May 02, 2011 at The Oaks at Limestone.
Born on February 07, 1934, in Habersham County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Clara Mae Elrod Cantrell.Miss Cantrell was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Owen Cantrell.
Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law, Clarice and Lloyd Free of Cornelia and Shirley and Elwood Free of Covington, GA; several nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives also survive.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Wednesday, May 04, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Free, Rev. Paul Morris and Rev. William “Bill” Surrett officiating.Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Purcell officiating at the graveside.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm on Tuesday.
