BERNICE RUTLEDGE TESH CASTO, age 91 of Cornelia, Georgia and formerly of Hampton, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Born in Yadkinville, North Carolina on August 03, 1924, Bernice was a daughter of the late Evan & Minnie Carter Rutledge. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Vernon Tesh, Sr., Oschel Casto, and Thomas Nester, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Nellie & Buck Snyder of Cornelia, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Vernon “Sonny’, Jr. & Lisa Tesh of Yorktown, VA; brothers, Clifton Rutledge, JR Rutledge, both of Yadkinville, NC and Paul Rutledge of Winston Salem, NC; grandchildren, Keith Sanders, Kevin Sanders, Kimberly Tesh, Brenton Tesh, & Katie Tesh; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
Burial will follow in Newport News, Virginia with arrangements handled by Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, Virginia 23601.
