Buddy Edward Smith, age 55 of Clarkesville, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018.
Born in Hall County, Georgia on January 21, 1963 to the late Alfred and Pauline Roach Smith. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, wrestling and spending time with his family. Mr. Smith was a member of Cool Springs Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Smith, Randall Smith and Steve Smith; sister, Mildred Frakas.
Surviving are his loving wife, Elainia York Smith of Clarkesville; son, Ethan McKlain Smith of Clarkesville; brother, Junior Smith of Cleveland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte & Dub Mayo of Clermont, Doris & Buford Lewis of Alto, Barbara & Kenneth Rogers of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby & Beatrice Chitwood York of Clarkesville; several other family & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Sunday, July 15, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Garvis Kinsey and Rev. Steve McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Black officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Debra Chitwood, 1055 Cool Springs Rd., Clarkesville, GA 30523 for children in need.
