Carol Sue Tomlin Smith, age 65, of Clarkesville, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022.
Born on October 24, 1956 in Commerce, she was a daughter of Thurlow Tomlin and the late Pearl Lee Gibson Tomlin. Mrs. Smith was a self-employed private care giver at Magnolia Hills and had worked at Habersham Home for 13 years. Carol was a hard worker who honored her parents, loved her family, and her dog. Mrs. Smith was a loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Christian Faith.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Smith.
Survivors include, father and step-mother, Thurlow Tomlin (Joyce) of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Chad Holcomb (Carrie) of Demorest; daughter, Mandy Holcomb of Cornelia; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie McKie (Howard), and Jill Garland (Gregg) of Toccoa; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 ~ 8 pm on Monday, October 10, 2022 at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart funeral home.
Services are scheduled for 11 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Minister Chad Holcomb and Minister Branson Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
