Catherine Gosnell Bingham, age 71, of Demorest, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Habersham Home.
Born in Habersham County on September 3, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Olin Gosnell and Roberta Holcomb Gosnell. Mrs. Bingham was a member of Community Baptist Church and was retired from Clarkesville Mill with 26 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and cooking.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bingham was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bingham; brothers, Grady, Lamar and David Gosnell; brother-in-law, William “Red” Church.
Survivors include daughter, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Bingham of Demorest; son, Mark Bingham of Cleveland; granddaughter, Jessica Garrett of Demorest; great grandchild, Cayden Jackson of Demorest; sisters, Barbara Weaver (James) of Thomaston, Georgia and Christine Church of Demorest; sisters-in-law, Geneva Gosnell of Demorest and Ann Gosnell of Clarkesville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Billy Burrell and Rev. Doug Forrester officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
