Charles Scott Davis, age 78 of Cornelia, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019.
Born in Cornelia, Georgia on May 12, 1940 to the late Charles Roy and Mildred Watson Davis. Mr. Davis retired from Fieldale with over 40 years of service. He was a ham radio operator for many years and enjoyed fishing and genealogy. Mr. Davis was an avid historian and an accomplished artist. He was a member of Demorest Church of God but was currently attending Free Chapel Worship Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Annie Marie Crocker Davis and Sherry Melinda Cartey Davis.
Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Scott Davis, Jr. of Alto and Marcus Roy & Mary Davis of Clarkesville; step daughters, Tami Hutchins Keanum of Loganville and Wendy Hutchins Barrick of Oklahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Mary & Charlie Woods of Demorest; special friends and caregivers, Darrell & Debbie Edenfield of Homer; grandchildren, Logan Davis and Sunshine Davis; 1 great grandchild; a number of step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Mitch Evans and Rev. James Gunn officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
