Charles Gulley, age 71 of Alto, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on November 28, 1941, he was the son of the late Herschel and Lovella Payne Gulley. Mr. Gulley was retired from Schnadig with over 40 years of dedicated service and he attended Alto Congregational Holiness Church. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, antique cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include wife of 47 years, Carolyn Gulley of Alto; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Eddie Brown of Cornelia, Melinda and Jeff Freeman of Flowery Branch and Melanie and Michael Watkins of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Jan Gulley of Alto; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Calvin Gragg of Cornelia, Winnie and Leroy Poole of Mt. Airy and Daisy and “Dub” Standridge of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jordan and Josh Brown, Erika, Sierra and Haley Freeman, Kilah and Aiden Watkins.
Funeral services are 3:00 pm Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Alto Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Leon Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Pastor Tim Beasley officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Friday and Saturday.
