Charlotte Pauline Ivie McConnell, age 89 of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020.
Born in Habersham County on April 4, 1930 to the late Taft and Maybelle Erwin Ivie. She was a seamstress with International Outerwear for a number of years. Mrs. McConnell enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee McConnell; grandchild, Nikki Jones; brothers Levis Ivie and Donald Ivie; sister, Sandra Horne.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred & Melanie McConnell and Carole & Janet McConnell; grandchildren, Matthew McConnell, Bobby McConnell; great grandchildren, Brayden & Bryleigh; several other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Anthony Shore officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
