CLARA MAE CRAGG ARMOUR, age 88 of Alto, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 06, 2014 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Habersham County, Georgia on January 25, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Clyde & Haughtense Miller Cragg. Mrs. Armour was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, and fishing. She was a member of the Enon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joe Armour and her brother, DeFae Cragg.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, J.B. Armour, Alto, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard & Debra Armour, Cornelia, GA; Don & Debbie Armour, Tony & Lori Armour, all of Alto, GA; Melvin & Jacklyn Armour, Homer, GA; daughter-in-law, Leona Armour, Cornelia, GA; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & many friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Miller and the Rev. Jacob Armour officiating. Interment will follow in the Living Mission United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday and again from 2 until 4 p.m. & 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
