Clara Louise Dean McCallister, age 80, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at her residence.
Born on October 23, 1932 in Fulton County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Otis and Agnes Seagraves Dean. Mrs. McCallister was a custodian with White County Schools for 35 years and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening and traveling to the mountains in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Odell McCallister; brother, Tommy Dean; sisters, Isla Howell and Betty Pye.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Judy Fitzgerald of Toccoa; son, Guy A. Fitzgerald of Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Sherry Fitzgerald of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Leroy Webb of Cleveland; step son and wife, Ray and Brenda McCallister of Mt. Airy; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Dr. Don Samples and Rev. David Sosebee officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Thursday.
