Daniel Orr age 60, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023.
Born on September 24, 1962, he was a son of the late Fred M. Orr and Ellen Hamilton Orr. Mr. Orr was a self-employed mechanic and owned Big Katz Converters, in earlier years he owned Sherwood Jewelers. Daniel was a talented jeweler and amateur race car driver. He is described by his family as being a kind, generous, and loving father, brother, grandfather, and brother.
Survivors include son Chad Orr of Cornelia; grandchildren, Cody Orr, Landon Orr, and Jackson Orr; brother, Victor Orr of Mt. Airy; sister, Laura Halferty of St. Petersburg, Florida; niece, Gray Dean of St. Petersburg, Florida; two aunts; and numerous cousins.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
