Darius Dontavius Nicely, Sr. age 22 of Cornelia, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
Born in Demorest, on May 29, 1993, he was a son of Prince Edward Nicely, Jr. of Cornelia & Mallissia Osborne of Gainesville. Mr. Nicely enjoyed raising Pit Bulldogs and loved being a father.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Darius Dontavius “Peanut” Nicely, Jr. of Cornelia; stepmother, Amanda Nicely of Cornelia; nanny, Carolyn Trimiar of Cornelia; grandpa, Prince Edward Nicely, Sr. (Beverly), of Toccoa; brothers, Daejuan Bowman of Toccoa and Daveon Osborne of Gainesville; sisters, Tiana Nicely, SC, Damirrah Osborne of Gainesville, Sebria Nicely, Saqouya Nicely, Sykia Collins, Princess Bowman, Harmony Bowman, all of Toccoa; aunt, Sherry Cash of Cornelia; uncle David Smith (Chantel) of Dacula; girlfriend, Brittany Grizzle of Dawsonville; special brother, Earl Williams of Cleveland; special friend, Jay Neal of Toccoa; several other aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 3 pm Sunday, September 13, 2015 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Tracy Curry officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
