DAVID ROY FORRESTER, age 70 of Demorest, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on March 5, 1947, he was a son of the late Roy and Wallace Wilson Forrester. Mr. Forrester retired from Georgia Power as a Lineman after 25 years of service. He enjoyed antique cars and woodworking and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Forrester served his country proudly with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lana Fleming Forrester.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Jill & Chris Holte of Sugar Hill; 2 step-grandchildren, Jaidyn Holte and Kiera Holte; sister, Margaret Forrester of Mt. Airy.
Memorial services are scheduled for 4 pm, Saturday, June 3, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Morris officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 pm until the memorial service on Saturday.
