DAVID FRANKLIN CANTRELL, age 55 of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Hall County, Georgia on December 15, 1956, he was a son of Catherine Smith Cantrell of Mt. Airy and the late Frank Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was self-employed in the furniture industry for many years. He enjoyed hunting and collecting guns. Mr. Cantrell was a member of the Hazel Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include: brother and sister-in-law, Kim & Aundrea Cantrell; sister, Denise Cantrell; nephew, Josh Cantrell, all of Mt. Airy, GA; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 from the Hazel Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Burrell and the Rev. Trent Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
