David Jarrell, age 62, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 following a sudden illness.
Born in Habersham County on May 3, 1951, he is a son of Kenneth and Evelyn Palmer Jarrell of Clarkesville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robin Jarrell.
Mr. Jarrell was an avid horseman and loved training and raising his horses. Mr. Jarrell worked several years as a Habersham County Deputy Sheriff and was currently employed by Fieldale farms as a feed truck driver. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Beverly McCallister Jarrell of Cleveland; sons and daughters–in-law, Tim and Melissa Jarrell of Toccoa and Chad and Sheri Bell Dahlonega; daughters and sons-in-law, Brandi and Donny Smith of Mt. Airy, Amanda and Paul Hunter of Hiawassee; brothers, Benny Jarrell of Clarkesville and Dale Jarrell of Demorest. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Monday, September 30, 2013 at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel with Rev. Lester Haynes and Rev. Junior Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Holiness Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Saturday, 2-4 and 6-8 on Sunday at the funeral home.
