David Joseph Smith, age 44, of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, October 07, 2014, at Emory University Hospital.
Born in Newport, Rhode Island on July 17, 1970, he was a son of Donald Smith, Sr. and Patricia Smith of Mt. Airy. Mr. Smith was formerly employed as a manager with Zaxby’s and was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, survivors include wife, Kimberly Smith of Cornelia; daughter, Kendal L. Smith of Cornelia; stepdaughter, Devin M. Straub of Orlando, Florida; brother, Donald M. Smith, Jr. of Mt. Airy; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
