David Kenneth Segers, age 55 of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Stephens County Hospital following a brief illness.
Born March 24, 1957, in Toccoa, he was a son of the late Kenneth Estes and Sally McGuire Segers. Mr. Segers was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was a carpenter by trade. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, woodworking and art.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Misty and Adam Rudeseal of Clarkesville; son, Israel Segers of Alto; grandchildren, A.J. Rudeseal, Timothy Rudeseal and Cheyenne “Pearlie” Rudeseal all of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Darel and Lynn Segers of Byron, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Richard Chance of Spartanburg, SC; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial services are 2:00 pm Sunday, March 24, 2013, at The Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made, in David’s memory, to Victory Home, P.O. Box 7, Tallulah Falls, GA 30573.
