Deborah Martin Brown, age 60, died on Monday, November 6th, 2017 after an extended illness.
Ms. Brown was born in Habersham County on October 25th, 1957. Ms. Brown was a native of Demorest, Georgia. She was employed by the Medical College of Georgia and worked in the Correctional Healthcare Division. Ms. Brown retired in February, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Kenneth “Ken” Martin, Sr. and brother, James Kenneth “Jimmy” Martin, Jr.
She leaves behind her loving mother, Betty Edwards Martin of Demorest; sister, Carolyn Edwards of Clarkesville; brother, Michael Martin of Baldwin; a host of treasured nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Friday, November 10, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Mr. John Borrow and Rev. Steve Doran officiating. Interment will follow in Demorest City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
