DEBRA ANN GABLE, age 51 of Carnesville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Born in Young Harris, Georgia on June 26, 1962, she was a daughter of Buddy King of Blairsville, Georgia & the late Betty Pain King. Debra was a homemaker, but most of all enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Diamond Hill Baptist Church and in addition to her mother, was preceded in death by a brother, Pete King.
Survivors in addition to her father include her husband of 31 years, Homer “Bud” Gable, son and daughter-in-law, Clifford & Rebecca Gable, daughter, Vickie Gable, all of Carnesville, GA; daughter, Christy Gable, Buford, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Amy & Dwayne Green, Rhonda & Doug Webb, all of Blairsville, GA; brother, Doug King; grandchildren, Abby Ayers & Andrew Ayers; several other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with the Rev. Cotton Harris and the Rev. Elmer Maddox officiating. Interment will follow in the Diamond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
