Donald Lee Wilson, age 75 of Lula, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019.
Born in Lula, Georgia on July 16, 1943 to the late Howard and Kate Kilpatrick Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from Mt. Vernon Mills with many years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Wilson enjoyed working, eating hotdogs, seeing the ocean and spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Wilson, Carl Wilson, Pete Wilson & Maxie Wilson.
Surviving are his loving wife, Audrey Gunn Wilson of Lula; sons, Dwayne Wilson of Missouri, Shannon Wilson of Gainesville, Mitchell Canup of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, April Canup & Spud Nicholson of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Amber Harrelson, Preston Nicholson, Shea Tate, Madison Canup; great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Owen and Cheyann; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11 am, Friday, April 12, 2019 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Pastor Troy Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
