Doris Holland Barry, age 86 of Clarkesville, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
Born in Mt. Airy, Georgia on December 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Richard Holland and Callie Belle Stewart Holland. Mrs. Barry was an underwriting assistant with State Farm Insurance and member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Kimsey; step-daughter, Lisa Brooks; brother, Stuart Holland.
Surviving are her son, James “J.R.” Kimsey of Clarkesville; daughter, Diane Sutton of Atlantic Beach, Florida; step-son, Robert Barry, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter-in-law, Debbie Barry of Jacksonville, Florida; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Umberhant officiating.
