Doris Feller

Doris Turner Feller, age 65, of Alto, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024.


Born on August 18, 1958, in Commerce, she was a daughter of the late L.C. and Dorothy Lue Dodd Turner. Doris was a homemaker and caretaker, who was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed singing Southern Gospel music in various churches, and visiting with her loved ones and friends. Most recently, she attended church at Mt. Vernon Holiness Church and Bible Landmark.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Randy Ryles; second husband, Helmut Feller; and a daughter, Regina Cox.


Survivors include daughter, Hildegard Feller of Alto; son-in-law, Charlie Cox, and grandchildren, David Cox and Lillian Cox all of Alto; brothers and sister-in-law, Stevie Turner (Lisa) of Cornelia, and Stanley Turner of Alto; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda Finley (Steve) of Homer, Arlene Clouatre (Michel) of Clarkesville, Teresa Dean (Tab) of Alto, and Jeannie Pulliam of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Funeral services are 2 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Junior Robinson and Evangelist Barbara Nash officiating. Interment will follow in B.C. Grant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Timothy Gerrin officiating.


The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the funeral home.
