Dorothy Martin, age 77, of Demorest, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014, at Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 12, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John Deschryver and Ann Ryan Deschryver. Ms. Martin was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was known to always be there for anyone who needed her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Wagoner; brothers, Jack and Walter Deschryver; sister, Lillian Deschryver.
Survivors include sons, Tom Wagoner (Debbie) of Lula, Ben Wagoner of Braselton, Glenn Wagoner (Toni) of Blairsville and David Wagoner (Tammy) of White County; daughter, Pat Hansen of Demorest; step daughter, Beryle Clark of Alto; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Marion McLaughlin of Alpharetta and Margaret Bernhardt of Warren, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Monday, August 4, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. J.R. Elrod and Rev. Keith Allison officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairfield Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
