Dortha “Lanell” Watkins Woodall, age 75 of Demorest, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012, at her residence.
Born in White County on November 27, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Willie Pearl Freeman Watkins. Mrs. Woodall was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church and was retired from Ethicon with many years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a wonderful sister, sweet aunt and true friend to many, who will be missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Woodall of Demorest; daughter, Christy Woodall Vice of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Cherral Melody and Mike Butler of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Elora Watkins of Cornelia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Telford Dalton of Demorest and Elaine and Charlie Rumpel of Florida; sister, Janice Lovell of the Batesville Community, Clarkesville; grandchildren, Taylor Vice of Demorest, Melodee Butler of Clarkesville and Chelsea Blackburn of Clarkesville; great grandchild, Aaron Blackburn of Clarkesville.
Funeral services are 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Verner London and Pastor Jeff Looney officiating. Interment will follow in VFW Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Tuesday.
