Douglas Keith “Doug” Fry, age 73 of Clarkesville, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on December 15, 1940, he was a son of the late Hank Fry and Margie Burrell Fry. Mr. Fry was a self-employed painter and member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed writing and animals, especially dogs.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fry was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy Fry.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Paige & Jack Neill of Ellijay; brothers, Benton Fry of Clarkesville and Jim Fry of Greenville, South Carolina; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are 2:00 pm Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating.
