Easton Singleton

October 16, 1994 — April 25, 2012

Easton Emmanuel Singleton, age 17 of Alto, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Habersham County on October 16, 1994, he was the son of Sonya and Reggie Hix of Alto and Steve Singleton of Gainesville. Easton was currently a junior at Habersham Central High School and was a proud and dedicated teammate of the Raider Football Team, where every Friday, during football season, was spent being the “Day of the Raider.” He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and he attended Life Church in Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne Shirley, Steve Bulischeck and Rev. Woodrow Hix and uncle, Perry Shirley.
Survivors include his parents, Sonya and Reggie Hix of Alto and Steve Singleton of Gainesville; sister, who always called him “Bubba,” PresLee Hix of Alto; grandparents, Diane Roach of Cleveland, Patricia Goodwin of Augusta and Linda Hix of Alto; girlfriend, Cassidy Davidson of Turnerville; also surviving are numerous friends and teammates.
A celebration of life will be held at 4 pm Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Torch Worship Center with Pastor Joseph Tucker, Pastor Tim Beasley and Pastor Jason Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in New Bridge Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. W. A. Jenkins officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Friday and also from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday.

Easton brought joy and laughter to those around him with two of many quotes: “Beast of the East” and “If you show me someone who enjoys losing, I’ll show you a loser.”
