Edith Ellen Wiley Pittman, age 80 of Lula, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at New Horizons North following an extended illness.
Born in Hall County on September 09, 1930, she was the daughter of the late David and Millie Ann Savage Wiley.Mrs. Pittman was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith.She enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Pittman; granddaughter, Torrey Smelley; brother, James Marion Wiley.
Surviving are daughters and son-in-laws; Doris & Curt Reed and Joyce & Dale Smelley of Lula; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy & B.A. Pittman of Charlotte, NC; sister, Clara Pittman of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law, Julian & Ruby Wiley of Lula; grandchildren and spouses, Zach & Andrea Reed, Justin & Shanda Lott; great grandchild, Lilly Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Doug Vermilya and Rev. Sammy Manus officiating.Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Wednesday.The family is at their respective residences.
