Elizabeth "Beth" Telford Long

Elizabeth (Beth) Blair Telford Long, age 69, passed away in Griffin, GA on Monday, July 10, 2017. Born on June 28, 1948, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late George Dean Telford. Mrs. Long was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include mother, Sybil Blair Telford of Griffin, GA; beloved husband of 39 years, William Hugh Long, Jr; daughter & son-in-law, Christy & Bryan Garner of Griffin, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Tony & Annie Long of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Jessica & Dean Long of Jacksonville, FL, Tanner Burford of Griffin, GA and Austin Garner of Griffin, GA.

Mrs. Long worked in banking and real estate sales until retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, collecting antiques, watching her grandchildren play sports, and cruising with her husband and close friends. Mrs. Long was also an avid University of Georgia football fan and enjoyed traveling to home and away games with family.

Friends may visit family starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home in Cornelia, GA. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Johnny Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, GA.
