Emilio Hernandez Rodriguez, age 76 of Cornelia, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Born in Mexico on June 8, 1944, he was a son of the late Ignacio Rodriguez and Maria Luisa Hernandez Rodriguez. He retired from Kubota and attended St. Marks Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Luis Rodriguez, David Rodriguez and Ignacio Rodriguez.
Surviving are his wife, Maria Luisa Orozco Rodriguez of Cornelia; sons and daughter-in-law, Sergio Rodriguez (Donna), Martin Rodriguez (Yolanda), Santiago Rodriguez (Martha) all of Cornelia, Cesar Rodriguez (MiMi) of Gainesville; daughters, Patricia Rodriguez (Michael) of Mt. Airy and Karina Starks (James) of Cornelia; 22 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Salvador Rodriguez and Antonio Rodriguez both of Mexico; sister, Josefina Rodriguez of California.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm, Saturday, January 16, 2021 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Deacon Bill Brown officiation. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the funeral home.
