Eric Garrison Thurmond, age 45 of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 03, 2017.
A life-long native of Habersham County, Eric was born in Demorest, Georgia on August 17, 1971. He was a son of Ellene Ramsey Thurmond of Demorest & the late Garrison Henry Thurmond. Eric was employed with Ten Cate Nicolon of Cornelia with many years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, and most of all, spending time with his family. Eric was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his sister & brother-in-law, Debbie & David Hallford of Demorest, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin & Deborah Thurmond of Mt. Airy, GA; Alan & Christi Thurmond of Demorest, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, 3 great-nieces, other relatives, & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 06, 2017 at the Fairfield Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Allison officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Rev. Truitt Phillips officiating at the graveside.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
