Essie Mae Freeman Loudermilk, age 84 of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015.
Born in Habersham County on July 30, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Sadie Burgess Freeman. Mrs. Loudermilk was retired from Fieldale Farms and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Loudermilk; son, George Loudermilk; brother, Jiimmy Freeman; sister, Betty Ballew; niece, Ann Freeman.
Surviving are sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Lloyd Frady of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Betty Freeman of Toccoa; nephew, Michael Freeman of Toccoa.
Funeral services are 11 am Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Scott Slaton officiating. Interment will follow in Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
