Eunell McDougald Tench, age 77 of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, February 04, 2012 at her residence.
Born on October 09, 1934 in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Lee and Ella Susan Tomlin Stevens. Mrs. Tench was a member of New Bridge Baptist and was retired as an in-home childcare giver. She enjoyed cooking, flowers and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sue Rogers; sister, Delores Blair.
Survivors include husband, Herbert D. Tench of the home; son, Steve McDougald of Cleveland; son and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Sheree McDougald of Cleveland; daughter, Judy McDougald of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Mitchell Cantrell of Sautee; step son and daughter-in-law, Roger and June Tench of Commerce; brother, Garland Stevens of Lula; sisters, Eva Mae Alexander of Cleveland, Winnie Hembre of Cornelia; 08 grandchildren, 05 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, February 06, 2012 from the New Bridge Baptist Church with Rev. Darin Cain, Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Tench will lie-in-state from 1:30 until the funeral hour on Monday.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Sunday.
