Evelyn Mary Lomax Chastain, age 89, of Holiday, Florida, formerly of the Habersham area, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012.
Born in Georgia, on March 17, 1923, she was a daughter of the late George and Bessie Mize Lomax. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband; several siblings.
Surviving are daughters, Freida Conway and Glenda Davis; son, Larry Chastain; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Friday.
