Ezra Lee Garner, age 76 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his residence.
Born in White County on March 25, 1936, he was a son of the late Ernest and Lessie Dalton Garner. Mr. Garner was employed by Liberty National Life Insurance Company as an insurance agent for 30 years. He was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Mixon Garner; son, Stacy Todd Garner; brother, Vernon Garner and sister, LouElla Barrett.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Danny and Carla Dean Garner of Alto; son, Steve Garner of Cleveland; brother Jerry Garner of Cleveland; sisters Allene Stovall of Gainesville, Katie Pitts of Mt. Airy and Barbara Palmer of Cleveland; two grandchildren Christopher Garner and Casey Garner.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Darren Palmer and the Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 – 4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday.
