Flois Massey Duckett, age 100, of Demorest, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
Born on March 22, 1923, in Hollingsworth, she was a daughter of the late George and Iona Massey. Flois worked for many years as the Treasurer for Piedmont College. Mrs. Duckett loved her family and was a member of Demorest Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Duckett; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas (Gladys) Duckett; daughter-in-law, Susan Farmer Duckett; four brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her son, Spencer Duckett of Cornelia; grandchildren, Kelly Duckett Wiley (Todd C.) of Cornelia, Dedrick Duckett of Jasper, and Donna Haynes of Clarkesville; great-grandchild, Xander Wiley of Cornelia; sisters, Vernell Hix of Jefferson and Betty Meeks of Maysville; sister-in-law, Betty Massey of Hollingsworth; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, at Yonah Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Tom Mewborn officiating.
