Frances Jane Goss Free, age 71 of Cornelia, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on June 23, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Frank Goss, Sr. and Georgia Lee Nations Sosebee. Mrs. Free was a retired furniture craftsman with Southern Craftsman Furniture. She was a member of The Lord’s Vineyard and enjoyed time with her family, word searches, watching tv, and listening to Rev. Billy Burrell on WCON.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by stepfather, Coy Sosebee, brothers, Frank Goss, Jr., Randolph Goss, and Gene Goss; sisters, Mae Jones, Betty Burton, and Linda Goss.
Surviving are children, Tony Free of Cornelia, Tammy (Danny) Fry of Clarkesville, and Tracy (Abel) Miranda of Cornelia; ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Umbehant of Mt. Airy, Ruby Farmer of Alto, and Geneva Reece of Clarkesville.
Funeral services are 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at The Lord’s Vineyard Community Church with Pastor Wes Davis and Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in Stonepile Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday.
