Frances Hill

Frances Scroggs Hill, 80, of Clarkesville, Georgia died Saturday October 9, 2010 in Habersham County Medical Center. She was the widow of Frank J. Hill.She was born in Rabun County,Georgia November 12, 1929, the daughter of the late Virgil and Genelia McCoy Scroggs. She was a retired cook and loved to cook, travel and do gardening. She was a member of the Hills Crossing Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers; Russell Scroggs and Porter Scroggs. A sister Caroline Wade in addition to her husband and parents, and is survived by a son, Tim Hill and his wife Sheila of Clarkesville, a brother, Bobby Joe Scroggs and his wife, Lucia of Clarkesville, a sister, Cleo Bates and her husband, Charles of Griffin GA. , a sister-in-law, Lois Scroggs. Two grandchildren and a special niece, Judy Hill of Clarkesville.Graveside Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 12, 2010 at the Liberty Cemetery, Tiger, Georgia with Layman Lloyd Hunter Officiating. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday night October 11, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M.The family is at their respective residences.McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia (706/778-8668) is in charge of local arrangements.
