George Lafayette Hill, age 77 of Commerce, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015.
Born in Rabun County, on February 28, 1938, he was a son of the late Curtis Lafayette Hill and Beulah Hunt York. Mr. Hill was employed as a welder and was of the holiness faith.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Jessie Hill and a sister, Mary Fannie Lou Hill.
Surviving are sons, Ray Lafayette Hill and Rodney Scott Hill both of Commerce; daughter, Susan Hill Fisher of Tennessee; sister, Jeanette Kinsey of Mt. Airy; several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside services are 11 am Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Providence Baptist Church cemetery.
