Gladys Alewine Sisum, age 64 of Lula, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at her residence.
Born in Honea Path, South Carolina on June 24, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Lee Alewine and Dollie Octavia Pierce Alewine. Mrs. SIsum was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ellen Lollis and Janice Lynn Gambrell and brother, Eddie Lee Alewine.
Surviving are husband, William Clifton Sisum of Lula; daughters, Tammy Forrester of Maysville, Susie Hall and Kelly Stillwell both of Lula; sons, Robert Sisum of Lula and Chris Sisum of Toccoa; brothers, Jim and Dale Alewine both of South Carolina; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Junior Jones and Rev. Grady White officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday.
