Grace Sigers Blackwell, age 81 of Demorest, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born on August 04, 1931, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Aaron Knox and Mattie Lee Stowe Sigers. Mrs. Blackwell was a homemaker and a member of Hollywood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blackwell was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Blackwell; a daughter, Patricia Fowler; a sister, Maudine Underwood.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Linda Collis of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Danny Holcomb of Demorest; brothers, Max Sigers of Baldwin and Aaron Sigers of Miami, Florida; sisters, Sue Davidson of Baldwin and Mary Ann Herrin of Cornelia; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1:00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Dr. Don Samples officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Wednesday.
