Grace Elizabeth Morrison Christopher, age 94, of Cornelia, GA, passed away Saturday March 12, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Born on February 13, 1917, in Banks County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ben T. and Ida M. Harris Morrison.Mrs. Christopher was a life-long resident of Hall County and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Christopher was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church, convention singing, gardening and canning. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, C. H. “Cam” Christopher, daughter-in-law, Patsy Lovell Christopher, son-in-law, Keith Alexander and granddaughter, Libby Kay Alexander. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David & Dianne Christopher of Cornelia, daughters and sons- in-laws, Carol & Lynn Hulsey of Cornelia, Joyce & J. B. Freeman of Cornelia, daughter, Sandra Alexander of Cleveland, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Purcell, Rev. Lloyd Free, and Rev. Paul Morris officiating.Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8:30 pm on Monday.
