Gregory Scott Martin, Sr., age 46, of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Stephens County Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County, GA on August 12, 1964, he was the son of the late Sammy and Judy Pruitt Parker.Mr. Martin was a member of Compassion Baptist Church in Eastanollee.He enjoyed football, hunting and fishing.In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was also preceded in death by his biological father, Roy Martin; sister, Annette Bryson; grandfather, Alvin Pruitt; grandparents, Vance and Susie Martin.
Survivors include daughters, Gala Martin and Nikki Martin both of Eastanollee; son, Gregory Martin, Jr. of Eastanollee; mother of children, Gail Sapp of Eastanollee; sisters, Teresa Perry of Baxley, GA, Melissa Parker of Cornelia,and Tonya Martin of Cleveland; grandmother, Lillian Pruitt of Mt. Airy; step mother, Joan Martin of Cleveland; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Alto Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Dixon and Rev. Tim Beasley officiating.
