HANNAH NICHOLSON GABRELS, age 22 of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 19, 2014.

Born in Gainesville, Georgia on August 07, 1992, she was a daughter of Dennis & Kathy Conley Nicholson of Clarkesville. Hannah was a very devoted wife, daughter, and sister. She was a gifted musician, singer, songwriter, and was a mentor to many young people, especially to her younger cousins. Hannah’s enthusiasm for life was contagious, her personality joyful, and she was admired by countless numbers of people. She was also an advocate for special needs children. Her inspirational journey through her sickness has caught the attention of millions and brought awareness to the dangers of MRSA, quickly becoming one of the leading causes of death in the United States.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon & Melba Nicholson, great-grandparents, Cooley & Bessie Nicholson, Charlie & Fannie Landers, George & Ruby Conley, and Edward & Ruby Adams; mother-in-law, Catherine Canup Gabrels.

In addition to her mother and father, she is also survived by her loving husband of three years, Joshua Gabrels of Clarkesville; sister Kara Nicholson of Clarkesville; brother Andrew Nicholson of Clarkesville; grandparents, Wayne & Janice Conley of Cornelia; aunts and uncles, Kim Gallups (Rex) of Cumming; Jenny Blalock (Chris) of Demorest; Sandi Densmore (Danny) of Clarkesville; uncle and aunt, John Conley (Theresa) of Mt. Airy; father-in-law, Steve Gabrels of Clarkesville; mother-in-law, Debbie Stroud Gabrels of Cornelia; 15 cousins, countless other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at The Bridge Church of Cleveland with Pastors Patrick Ballington, Michael Welborn, Sharon Boland & John Conley officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkesville.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm & 7-9 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
