Harold Theodore Eide, age 79, of Demorest, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 29, 1935, he was a son of the late Anton Eide and Ella Enger Eide. Mr. Eide was owner and operator of Harold Eide Trucking and was of the Lutheran faith. He enjoyed drag racing motorcycles and was nominated to the Motorcycle National Drag Racing Hall of Fame.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eide was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Eide; daughter, Suzanne Eide.
Survivors include daughter, Heide Edblom of Demorest; brothers, Carl Eide and Arnold Eide both of Minnesota; grandchildren, Kyle Edblom, Cameron Edblom and Abigail Edblom all of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Sarah Sponsil and Erick Burke both of Minnesota.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
