Harold Thomas, age 71 of Alto, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following and extended illness.
Born in Banks County, Georgia on September 09, 1945, he was a son of the late Ray and Dessie Merle White Thomas. Harold retired for Blue Circle Concrete. He enjoyed music, gardening, hunting, fishing, the scenery of the North Georgia Mountains, and trips to the ocean in Florida.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife; Helen W. Thomas, brothers; Eloise Thomas, Junior Thomas, Leslie Thomas, Dexter Thomas, and a sister; Letha Dodd.
Survivors include his son; Barry Thomas, daughter; April Thomas, granddaughters; Olivia Thomas and Kayla Parker, grandson; Seth Harold Thomas, sisters; Hazel Miller and Ruby Wade.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at the B. C. Grant Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Parker officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
