Haskell Morgan, age 94 of Baldwin, formerly of California and Arkansas, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 following an extended illness.
Born in Batesville, Arkansas on December 8, 1921, he was a son of the late Joe and Nancy Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a retired groundskeeper with Sun Lodge Colony in Palm Desert, California and was a member of Palm Desert Baptist Church in Palm Desert, California. He enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Bell Lewis Morgan and one daughter.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Lynn Morgan of Cornelia; six daughters; brothers, Herbert Morgan of Wyoming and Hale Morgan of Ridgecrest, California; 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Benton Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home.
